    MCSD & PCDOH 2017 Influenza (Flu) Clinics

    Making FREE vaccination available to your child during the school day eliminates additional demand on your time and your child will be better protected from influenza. Immunizing the student helps to keep the larger community safe as well.

     The Putnam County Health Department has worked with the Mahopac Central School District to schedule the following dates to provide influenza immunization to your school community. 

    2017 school flu vaccination clinics are scheduled as follows:

    • Austin Road – 11/08/2017
    • Fulmar Road – 11/09/2017
    • Lakeview Elementary – 11/09/2017
    • Mahopac Middle School – 11/14/2017
    • Mahopac High School – 11/16/2017

  • October 18, 2017 - B day

    The five hour pre-licensing class scheduled for October 16th has been postponed until Monday, October 23rd from 5-10 pm.  You can register with $40 cash in room 109. If you registered for October 16th you are now registered for October 23rd.

     The following colleges are scheduled to visit with us Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:45 pm in the Library Classroom:

    Tech crew will have a brief meeting today at 2:10 pm in room 145A.

     The GSA will meet on Thursday at 2:00 in room 130. Lots to do this week.  Bring a friend.

     There will be a SADD meeting today at 2pm in room 218. New and returning members are invited to attend.                          

     There will be a meeting on Thursday in the Library Classroom at 2:00 for any girl interested in playing lacrosse in the spring.

     Human Rights Club will meet at 2:00 today in Ms. Price’s room. New members welcome.

     Wear purple on Thursday to show your support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. If you or someone you know has been affected by domestic violence please reach out to a trusted adult here at school.  There are ways that we can help.  For more information on domestic violence and how you can help spread the word come to our Student Teacher Gender Equality Club meeting Thursday at 2:00 in room 48.  Please see Mrs. Nierman for details.

     There will be a yearbook meeting on October 23 in room 225 at 2 pm.

    This Monday from 10am (period 4) to 4pm is the high school’s Fall Blood Drive sponsored by the Interact Club. It only takes about a class period to save multiple lives by donating blood. 16 year olds need a permission slip, available in room 239.  17 and 18 year olds do not need a permission slip.  Stop by room 239 to sign up for a blood drive donation time slot for this coming Monday, October 23rd, in the New Gym.

     Thunder Ridge Ski Area is now hiring for the 2017-2018 winter season for a variety of positions. Information is available in room 109 and online at www.thunderridgeski.com.
